Arts! & Brass Arcata! October 12th 6pm-9pm With a Ball Gown Stroll in honor of National ‘End Domestic Violence Month’, will be an Arts! Arcata to remember! Arcata Main Street has joined forces with Redwood Raks, The City of Arcata and the Arcata Police Department to appreciate the arts while strolling to support this important cause. Led by our hostess Shoshanna, the Stroll will meet at the Creamery District at 5:30pm for hors d'oeuvres and drinks before departing to visit the downtown art exhibits and be treated to a great variety of prizes, games, appetizers, desserts inside of our downtown Arcata businesses before meeting at the Plaza center for a live brass line up and light show featuring Bandamonium and LOUD Neighbors Brass Band in addition to complimentary access to Hush Sound Systems Silent Disco. The Stroll will culminate before 9pm inside the historic Jacoby Storehouses Plaza Grill. PARTICIPANTS: To participate simply dawn your favorite tux or ball gown (wedding dress, bridesmaid dress, favorite gown- anything that makes you feel fabulous!) and meet at 5:30pm at the Creamery District reception. All ages and genders welcome! A map of designated stops and activities will be available both on our web page and facebook event prior to October 12th.
