The Art of Patricia Rose

Tarnished silver bowls, silverware and teapots are transformed into whimsical creatures, people, and sculptures.

Patricia Rose designs her sculptures from recycled and re-purposed items. She draws inspiration from many sources including her love for history, humor and human nature. Her mixed media sculptures will be celebrated on Friday December 13, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 9p.m. during Arts! Arcata, and will be on display for the entire month of December at SCRAP Humboldt. SCRAP Humboldt is located in the SOSA (South of Samoa) Neighborhood of Arcata at 101 South H street.

A clever assembly of unique materials, makes Patricia Roses’ sculptures truly one of a kind. Rose “loves to collect old silver, rusty odds and ends and other semi-worthless objects and then take a lot of time and thought to create each sculpture.” With a love for vintage, repurposed and antique items, Rose breathes fresh life into forgotten or discarded items.
