All Seasons Orchestra Celebrates 30th Anniversary

Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the All Seasons Orchestra with a weekend of concerts. Saturday, June 30 head to Trinidad for an afternoon of music from 3-5 p.m. in the Trinidad Town Hall, 409 Trinity Street. Keep the magic going with another concert Sunday evening, July 1 from 5-7 p.m. at the D St. Neighborhood Center, 1301 D Street. Both concerts are free. Saturday’s concert features Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 12 in A Major with soloist Aurora Pitts. The concert also includes Beethoven’s Egmont Overture. Patriotic selections will round out the concert: Stars and Stripes Forever by John Philip Sousa, The Star Spangled Banner by Francis Scott Key, Fanfare for the Common Man by Aaron Copland and finally, our premier of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Suite from Hamilton. Light refreshments are served after the concert. Sunday’s concert focuses on a celebration of All Seasons Orchestra’s 30th Anniversary, featuring the original composition by our founder, George Rodden, A Waltz for All Seasons. Honored are the many people who have made our existence possible. Light refreshments served after the concert, including cake and ice cream. This community orchestra, open to all ages, meets Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the D St. Neighborhood Center, 1301 D Street in Arcata. All Seasons Orchestra includes strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion. Seasonal performance opportunities are offered throughout the year. If you play a musical instrument and love to make beautiful music, this is your opportunity to participate in a community orchestra. Fees: $25 per season / $30 per season for non-residents.
