We hope you will join us for a fun and informative evening that includes networking, business displays and small business trivia. We will be honoring all the hard work that local business, community members, industry leaders, economic development agencies and the County of Humboldt have put into creating Humboldt s Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy.
SPOTLIGHT ON SUCCESS is AEDC’s annual celebration of Small Business. In keeping with AEDC’s commitment to building and celebrating a strong economic development community, the event has become a celebration of AEDC business success stories, and a celebration of our community partners. We ll be honoring Humboldt Area Foundation this year for their work with AEDC on the Open Door Community Health Clinic.
AEDC was created in 1978 by a group of Arcata business and community leaders to help grow the city s economy through assistance to local businesses and homeowners. Today, AEDC is a 501c3 non-profit organization that makes capital available to borrowers in a six county region who don t have access to funds from traditional sources.
