TUESDAY LOWDOWN: Chris Pureka Sings Rather Pretty

It's Tuesday, people. You have a few more weeks of Humboldt Crabs baseball you can choose to enjoy or not, so if you've been procrastinating getting to the Arcata Ball Park this year do note that it's Fairies and Princess Night, if that helps your decision making. Out in Ferndale, The Old Steeple has a totally tubular night of surf rock courtesy of the aptly named Surfer Joe, with support from similarly styled locals The Starhoppers. Or maybe you would like some aural beauty to wash over you and cleanse your being. The best chance you have for that experience would be at Richards' Goat Tavern where Portland singer/songwriter Chris Pureka will attempt to serenade your soul. Sample Pureka above and find details on all the gatherings mentioned above and more in your Lowdown below.
