(AUDIO) Senator Mike McGuire is Going to Hang Out at Safeway in Eureka Today and Hopes You’ll Bring Him Food

’Tis the season of giving, they say! And if that generous spirit strikes you while you’re out and about in Eureka, oh, between 3 and 6 p.m. Wednesday afternoon, consider dropping by Eureka’s Safeway. There you will find California State Senator Mike McGuire collecting canned and non-perishable food for the Humboldt Holiday Food Drive. Your kind donation will ensure that the do-gooders at Food for People have enough sustenance to feed people Humboldt-wide during this high-need time of year.

But don’t take our word for it! The always energetic McGuire called into KHUM to gab it up with DJ Midge and pump the event. Aurally feel his passion in the interview below (click the link) and/or also peruse the rest of Wednesday’s goings-on in your Lowdown listings farther down. -AG
