Monday Lowdown: Classic Rock DJs Feed Hungry Beasts; Dead Man Winter in Arcata

LoCO is full of beastly love this Monday. In addition to the Humboldt County Animal Shelter's doggie glamour shots we posted earlier, we wanted to also note that our classic rockin' sister station KWPT The Point will spend all of this week broadcasting live from various Humboldt County feed stores in an effort to collect food and funds to be utilized by local animal rescue operations. Tune in to 100.3 and/or 102.7 to figure out where the DJs are hiding, then drive to wherever that is and buy some kibble. More details here.

As far as your Monday night is concerned, HumBrews holds up its end by offering its stage up to a couple of returning acts: Americana-esque band Dead Man Winter -- featuring Trampled by Turtles' songwriter Dave Simonett -- and soul/folk troubadour Ryan Montbleau. Put some Dead Man Winter in your head courtesy YouTube below. --AG
