Of course the largest local fireworks display will be along Eureka’s Waterfront aaand it looks like the weather is going to cooperate with freedom-celebratin’ — no colored clouds! What a country.  

In the off-chance you’d rather spend your evening doing something other than staring at sky explosions, well, good news for you, comrade. A few venues had the foresight to book bands to satiate your subversive tendencies. Parade down Main Street at noon.

Fourth of July Festival and Fireworks

Old Town Eureka / 10 a.m.

The heart of Eureka will be packed with more than 100 vendors, live music on two stages, classic cars, kids' activities and firetrucks. The fireworks display starts over the bay at 10 p.m.

Arcata Fourth of July Jubilee

Arcata Plaza / 10:30 a.m.

Skate ramps, a dunk tank, puppet shows, spin art, kids zumba, breakdancing, latin dancing, hula hoops, face painting, wax hands, a bounce house and much more!
