(VIDEO) Wednesday Lowdown: Godwit Days! Film Fests! Thunder From Down Under!

It's going to be a busy weekend here in Humboldt thanks to a few festivals that get started Wednesday. Most notably, Godwit Days, the annual weeklong celebration of the Marbled Godwit gets underway. With over 100 different birding experiences on the schedule, you'd be best off if you just clicked over to their website for the full schedule.

Films Fests Galore!: The Banff Mountain Film Festival continues up at the Arcata Theatre Lounge, screening films with rugged, outdoorsy themes. Also, the Humboldt International Film Festival -- which claims to be the oldest student-run film festival in the cosmos -- returns with a full slate of moving pictures running all weekend at The Minor.

Then there are the hunks. Yes, Humboldt will again have the opportunity to peep at plenty of pecs when the ripped boys of Thunder From Down Under return to the Blue Lake Casino to... I don't actually know what they do... they look good doing whatever it is though. Get some gym-spiration in the clip below. --AG
