#TBT: A Taste of Main Street

On a night when undisputed HumCo nightlife champion Arcata features a special Thursday Soul Night, Eureka is gunning for the “Most Bustle” title with the return of an enjoyed-by-many annual celebration of local eats.

If you’re unfamiliar with the procedure for the annual Taste of Main Street event, let the Lowdown help you. For your $25 price of admission, you get a small booklet containing tickets redeemable at nearly 30 local establishments, each with menu of minor edibles prepared specifically for this evening. You have three hours to hurry from grub to grub stuffing your face with as much finger-ish food as you can stomach.

From experience, completing your ticket booklet is not easy. In honor of Throwback Thursday, we will direct you to our Taste of Main Street coverage from last year, when LoCO walked around the event with a 3-year-old and failed to eat all the food we could have. We still are dealing with the regret. Good luck, ya'll
