The words above belong to award-winning poet and activist Andrea Gibson who takes the stage at the Kate Buchanan Room at HSU Monday night to read selections from her newest book Pansy. Gibson’s work aims to challenge gender norms and highlights the struggles LGBTQIA people still face.

When you go to a natural history museum, the majority of the specimens in the museum are not on display. The HSU Wildlife Department has 15,000 specimens in its collection of birds and mammals, but only 1,000 of those are on display in the building. Come and learn about the other 14,000.
