First, the City of Eureka has decided there is no one better to decide what to do with the gravel expanse running along the boardwalk between C and F streets than you, citizen. If you agree that you have good ideas, head to the design charrette at the Wharfinger this evening and have your thoughts validated by “professional architects.” Yes! (LoCO covered this previously here.)
Second, do you know about Sea Star Wasting Disease? If you were a sea star you would. It’s an illness that has greatly reduced the number of five-armed purple and orange tide pool dwellers along our coast. In an effort to fund local research into the condition, HumBrews is donating a percentage of this evening’s beer sales to the cause. (More on this work in Last Week in Ocean here.)
