Lowdown: What Humboldt is Doing For Valentine's Day

Goddam, there’s a lot of pressure on you today! Like, first you have to have a living breathing person who tolerates you enough to spend this high stakes day in your vicinity. Then you’ve got to make sure you don’t bore them so much that you find them Tinder-swiping mid-date. Rough stuff!

Well, this is where the Lowdown is your chum. Take a scroll down our Valentine’s Day listings below and choose a human cluster the object of your crushin’ will go “aww” for. Man, if there’s one thing that jumps out at us, it’s the fact that Samba Na Chuva have moved their annual Six Rivers Brewery Fat Tuesday party to tonight and redubbed the affair Countdown to Carnaval. Over in Arcata, Richard’s Goat is wants to douse your V-Day with hip with a night of desserts and vinyl their calling Love on the Rocks

But maybe you struck out with Cupid this year. No worries. Get some aggression out at Humboldt Brews where Austin-based Brownout will play a full set of psych-funk versions of Black Sabbath songs as their alter ego “Brown Sabbath.” Rawk out, lonely one. Everything will be OK.
