One of Humboldt’s most joyous social events, the Humboldt Folklife Society is hosting one of their regular Barn Dance’s at the Arcata Veteran’s Hall. Lyndsey Battle calls. Striped Pig Stringband picks.
Former Humboldt Bay Nuclear Power Plant worker and now whistleblower has been making a ruckus around town with the release of his book My Humboldt Diary: A True Story of Betrayal of the Public Trust. LoCO referred to him as “Humboldt’s Snowden” when we wrote about him a month ago. Tonight at Northtown Books, Bob continues to shine his light.
As a warmup for tomorrow’s Humboldt Homebrew Festival, celebrity brewers (yes, that’s a thing) Denny Conn and Mike “Tasty” McDole will share their sudsy knowledge at the Arcata Community Center. You will want to know these tips when the nuclear winter foretold at the event above strikes Humboldt.
