Lowdown: A Sunday Run

For some of you, this Humboldt Sunday is going to end a lot sorer and with more blisters than it began. A stream of the driven will flow between the giant redwoods encasing the course for the Avenue of the Giants Marathon. Good on you, in shape people. Enjoy that burn.

For the rest of us slackers, Sunday’s highlight would have to be the Black Prairie show at the Arcata Playhouse. If you’re unfamiliar with the group, perhaps you’d know their much more famous project, a little band called The Decemberists — Black Prairie is comprised of all Decemberists members except for lead singer Colin Meloy. Pick up what they're puttin’ down by giving a look and listen to the YouTube clip below.
