You Could Watch A Horrible Movie in Arcata Tonight If You Wanted

“Happiness only real if shared,” said a guy who died alone in a van in the wilderness. And horrible movies are somehow less bad when viewed in a room full of fellow sufferers. Are those statements related at all? Does anything matter, really?

The point is it’s Wednesday which generally means groan-inducing cinema courtesy of Sci-Fi Pint and Pizza Night at the Arcata Theatre Lounge. Tonight they're screening Bride of the Monster (1955), notable as being the highest budgeted film Ed Wood ever crapped out. The film stars Bela Lugosi as a mad scientist who plans … to … oh, fuck it. It's not important. Watch the trailer below if you really care about what plot lines you’ll be ignoring while gulping beer and slices.
