CR Bomb Threat Detailed
Cliff Berkowitz / Thursday, April 18 @ 9:24 a.m. / Emergencies
This morning Cliff Berkowitz spoke with Paul DeMark, Public Information Officer at College of the Redwoods about this morning's campus-wide evacuation. He detailed that it indeed was a bomb threat. The threat apparently appeared on the Facebook page of a CR student. The student then contacted the Humboldt County Sheriff's Department saying that his Facebook page was hacked and warned them of the threat. All students and faculty have been evacuated including all residence halls. Bomb squads are combing the campus for the bomb. Thus far there has been no incident. A decision to allow students and faculty to return is pending.
