Today just after 1pm Amy spoke with Amy Conlin, the Public Information Officer for the Humboldt County Sheriff's Office of Emergency Services. They are up and running and will be staffing the office for as long as this power outage lasts. They remind people to only use 911 in the event of a real emergency. People are advised to sign up for alerts at: humboldtgov.org/alerts

PG&E Update 5:30pm
I just got off the phone with PG&E Spokes person Deanna Contraras for the latest information about our impending power shutoff. She acknowledged that the expected time keeps changing. No it looks like the power could start shutting down in Humboldt at 8pm at the earliest. That means it will likely be later. More like 10pm or later.
