No One Is Above The Law

Yesterday (Thursday) there were over 1000 spontaneous protest in all 50 states in response to the firing of Attorney General Jeff Sessions. The installation of non Senate confirmed staffer Matt Whitaker to take the post of interim Attorney General is considered unconstitutional by many constitutional scholars.
There was some confusion with regard to our local protest. It originally was set to take place on the Quad at HSU. However, it also said it was taking place on November 22nd. This date was taken down by the afternoon. But by then two other protest locations got organized. The Arcata Plaza and in front of the Humboldt County Courthouse.
I went to the original location where around 50 people showed. There were apparently larger crowds at the other locations. Our newly reelected congressman, Jarrad Huffman sent a representative to the rally I attended to speak for him. This person was Alex Fallman. He is the President of Humboldt State Democrats and a Political Science Major. Additionally, he is a member of the Crescent City, City Council.
