Amy Berkowitz / Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017 @ 3:11 p.m. / Activism, Coastal Currents, Community, Economy, Environment, Ocean

Today I talked with Dr. Laurie Richmond, Professor of Environmental Studies at HSU and Primary Investigator for the Public Fishing Community Sustainability Planning project.

There are 2 public meetings where you are invited to come and learn, provide ideas, and discuss how we can make our local fishing ports of Eureka and Shelter Cove more sustainable economically, environmentally, and socially.

Eureka meeting is tonight (9/27) from 6-8PM at the Warfinger Building

Shelter Cove meeting is Friday (9/29) from 6-8PM at the Shelter Cove Community Center.

There will be lots of interesting people, conversation, and food. Everyone is encouraged to attend!
