I talked to my friend, Rabia today about an upcoming fundraiser for the Roshni Centre for Women. She invites avid bakers to learn how to make Rabia’s Honey Nut Cake. This is a fundraiser for Girl’s Education in rural Pakistan. Classes will take place at the Arcata United Methodist Church, 1761 11TH Street in Arcata. The first opportunity is on Monday, Aug. 7 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., and secondly onSaturday, Aug. 12 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. You will learn in this demo how to make Rabia's Honey Nut Cake, bring a notebook to take notes about the recipe and method as well as a rolling pin. The cost of the class is offered on a sliding scale between $35.00 and $50.00**.
To register for the class or for more information email Rabia at firstname.lastname@example.org or call at 707-826-7123
It costs $35-50.00 to send a girl to school in rural Pakistan for a year, so this fundraiser is part of our 20/20 Vision Project, where our goal is to have 20,000 girls in school by the year 2020.
