Water is Life Gathering at HSU March 4th
Cynthia Boshell, President of Humboldt State's Environment & Community Club, came by the KHUM studio to talk about an event aimed to help our community become better organized behind indigenous-led movements. Cynthia also shared her perspective on how colonization affects our relationships with others and our environment.
On Saturday, March 4th, many voices will share perspective on local issues affecting Native Americans. "The speakers and panels will relate water, fisheries, and ecological integrity to human rights, women's issues, social justice, environmental protection, U.S. treaty obligations under international and domestic law, and Federal agency accountability." Everyone is invited to attend this free event at the Kate Buchanan Room from 12-6p on Saturday and can email: WaterIsLife.HSU(at)gmail(dot)com for more details.
