McKinleyville Middle School 8th grader Gabrielle Wadsworth saw a need in her community and stepped up!  The school already has coats and school supplies for their students in need, Gabrielle wanted to add to that by also supplying items for everyday use and comfort, such as toiletries, t-shirts, socks, underwear, and more.

Wadsworth is an avid member of Girl Scout Troop 10629 and is working on the project for her Silver Award - the highest award that a Girl Scout Cadet can earn.  The Silver Award project is an individual community-based project, usually consisting of 50 hours, a community mentor, and an idea with sustainability.  Wadsworth has put in over 70 hours though and has had to go to local service groups and businesses to generate donations for the project.

The items for the anonymous closet were organized into easily accessible bins (pictured right and below).
