Much has happened during the last week in Standing Rock, ND. KHUM was super lucky to hear from Louis Gordon, a Xicano-Purpécha student in the Native American Studies program at HSU and Program Officer at the Seventh Generation Fund for Indigenous Peoples. Louis returned yesterday from Standing Rock and shared some of his experiences, offered his perspective on how the Humboldt community can continue to rally behind water protectors as the struggle to permanently stop the Dakota Access Pipeline continues.
