Good Rain All This Week. Where Do We Stand Now?

I spoke with Matthew Kidwell at the NOAA office on Woodley Island this morning about where we stand with regard to the drought.

The good news is that we ended February with a slightly higher than normal rain total. However, that still leaves us at about 43 percent of normal. We expect good rain this week and the models show a normal amount of rain coming over the next few weeks.

While this is good, a normal amount of rain keeps us at a deficit.
