Eagle Cam: Is It HatchWatch 2014 Already?

Mike Dronkers / Friday, April 25 @ 8:36 a.m. / Feel Good , Humboldt

The Eagle Cam community appear to be in Hatch Watch mode.

As of 8:40am, there appear to still be two intact eggs sitting under the bird commenters call "dad." You can also occasionally hear very faint vocalizations, but it's hard to identify the source.

That's not stopping hundreds of people from streaming the cam, though.

One Facebook poster adds:

The process of an eaglet hatching is quite long and tiring. It can take from 12 to 48 hours for a chick to carve through the shell from the pip hole and push its way out.
