Peanut Butter, Bananas, Vine

Larry Trask / Tuesday, June 18, 2013 @ 12:56 p.m. / D.C.

Your 1st term Congressman, Jared Huffman, is living kind of lean for the next few days. He's taking the SNAP Challenge, living on a food budget of $4.50 per day for a week to raise awareness of a proposal in the pending Farm Bill (H.R. 1947) to cut some $2 billion annually from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, commonly called "food stamps".  $4.50 per day is the average daily benefit for food stamp recipients under the current rules.

No technology is too cutting-edge for Cong. Huffman.  See his five-day food supply below as a Vine post.

Cong. Huffman will talk about PBBs, Vine and other topics on KHUM this afternoon at 3pm.
