The South Side This Week: Little Milton

This week on The South Side, a birthday tribute to the late Little Milton Campbell, who was born in Mississippi on 9-7-1934 and died in August of 2005.His first musical influence was listening to the Grand Old Opry on the radio, and he was playing local clubs & bars by the time he was 15. 


His recording career started in ’53 when Ike Turner brought him to Sam Phillips at Sun Records and continued for the next 50 years with stints at Stax and Malaaco with a signature sound that blended blues, soul, R & B and gospel.
